MOC, “Pack Rats” Pup Tent 8 is the “Honor Degree” of VFW Post 7564 of West Fargo, ND. A Cootie is selected from the VFW Post membership by the Cootie Pup Tent. They are the most dedicated members who perform duties involving the aid to hospitalized veterans, providing blood, and working VFW membership, in addition to the various VFW projects within the Post and community.

Bert Hanson is the newly elected Commander of the Military Order of Cooties Pup Tent 8 of West Fargo. Hanson met his wife, Lynda, in Oklahoma and they moved to West Fargo in 1972. They have 3 children, Mike, Mathew, and Kristina and have 9 grandchildren. Bert recently retired from Cass County Electric after 36 years.
